Ordinary Days follows the every day lives of four individuals living in New York City. It depicts the complex interactions between a dating couple (Claire and Jason) and two strangers (Warren and Deb) and how their paths continue to cross, despite being strangers in a giant city.
The song Fine is a duet between the couple, Claire and Jason, and is intended to be the kind of interaction where your significant other is simply getting on your last nerve. The comical interaction shows the two agreeing with each other for the sake of ending the conversation, and arguing for the sake of arguing. It explores Jason’s momentary displacement from the scenario to evaluate his relationship with Claire, ending with Claire being rather caught of guard by Jason’s proposed solution to their fights.
